
Suzanne Pleshette, born January 31, 1937, died January 19 in 2008. She was an American film voice actor, TV host and voice actor. Pleshette began her career in theatre and appeared in films during the late 1950s. Later, she was an important actor in films such as Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (633) and Spirited Away (11). Later, she appeared in various television productions and was often acting as a guest. She was Emily Hartley in The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 to 1978 which earned her several Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was born on the 31st of January 1937 in the New York City neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights, to Geraldine (nee Kaplan)[1] and Eugene Pleshette. The parents of her were Jewish and were the children of emigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary.Her mother was an artist and dancer who performed under the stage name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was the stage manager in both the Paramount Theater and Paramount Theater in Manhattan.
