Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Taylor is a famous American actress and producer famous for the roles she performed as the character of Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist and The television series The Mentalist. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in African-American Studies from Brown University and an MFA in Acting from the Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue l. Ellis, is an American actor and producer who has worked in theater and TV and films as and is actively involved across both sides of the screen. She started acting on stage and then appeared in mainstream, independent and TV series. The actress gained fame as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and was a part of the epic BET series The Book of Negroes for which she received not just high praise but also a number of nominations and awards including a Television Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Film. In 1995 she was the first actress to make her debut with The Tempest as Ariel. In addition to the Broadway production Come and Gone, she also has credits for Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. Film-wise, she's best known for roles such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. Her role on television in ABC's police drama series High Incident has earned her high praise.
